Moving to Facebook
June 18, 2009

I am going to be using Facebook for any further blog-type posts from now on. This blog will be discontinued shortly. You can expect me to be far more active on the new Facebook page. Anyone can view my Facebook page without an account, but I invite you to sign up and interact with me.

(UPDATE 9/4/09: Well, that didn’t last long! I lost a trip report due to a FB server issue, and I will be resuming my trip reports here on this blog – and importing them to my Facebook page.)

Coming out of Hibernation
March 23, 2009

The grizzly bears are coming out of hibernation here in Yellowstone Country. Seems like a good time to wake my blog from its slumber as well. I have been too distracted with working on a website redesign, and keeping up with my winter photography. More words and photos to come soon!

Above is an image of the Teton Range on a cold January morning.

Back Soon
November 17, 2008

I’ve been down and out with illness the couple of weeks, and have had little time or energy to write anything for this blog. I’ll be back soon.

In the meantime, enjoy the latest addition to my website … a collection of photographs from my autumn visit to Grand Tetons National Park.

Welcome!
October 10, 2008

Welcome to the blog of nature and landscape photographer Jesse Speer!

I intend to use this blog to compliment my website JesseSpeer.com. The goal is to provide insight into the methods and stories behind my work – as a contrast to the purely visual presentation of my website. I will also share my latest photos, adventures and website updates. And I may occasional talk about other photography subjects, including current trends and gear. Anything goes, at this point. Stay tuned.

Please bookmark this page, grab the feed and return frequently. You can also click the “blog” link from any page in my website. And please do say hello, and comment freely! I look forward to the interaction.
